Pre-K Chat - August 7, 2010 . Welcome to Pre-Kindergarten! And is some cases - Welcome Back! We hope you are having a great summer and are as excited as we are to get started on a new year. To help ease the transition for families new to our program, we have planned an orientation evening for Thursday, August 26th at 6:00 p.m. in the newly renovated Chaplin Elementary School Pre-Kindergarten classroom. We will give a brief overview of the program and answer any questions that you may have. We're planning on about one hour for the orientation. We will also review the Pre-Kindergarten Handbook, touch base on a few ways that you can become involved in your child's education - the Chaplin PTO, the School Readiness Council and volunteering in the classroom. AS there are a number of changes to pre-kindergarten for the upcoming year, we would encourage returning families to attend as well. . The Pre-Kindergarten Parent Orientation is a parent/guardian only evening. We can arrange for childcare if anyone needs it. If you require childcare, please let us know so we can be sure to have adequate coverage available. . On the afternoon of Friday, August 27th from 12:00 - 3:00 p.m., we would like to invite you and your child to drop in to see the classroom, say hello, find out where your child's cubby will be located, etc. . We have some new and exciting changes in our program for the coming year and we hope that everyone will join us for the Preponderating Parent Orientation on August 26th and for our mini-open house on August 27th.
