| 1) | Use printmaking as a means for self-expression. |
| 2) | Be introduced to basic printmaking techniques and vocabulary (brayer, printing plate, reverse, pattern...). |
| 3) | Develop a sense of rhythm, repetition, and overlapping in a design. |
| 4) | Understand that objects reverse when printed. |
| 5) | Be introduced to and explore a variety of objects and materials that can be used to make a print. |
